DataTranslator.net helps translate survey data, question labels, and answer labels. This page explains what happens when you upload a file.

Files you upload

When you upload a dataset, we store the file temporarily so the service can create your preview and downloadable translated files. Uploaded files may include survey responses, variable labels, answer labels, and administrative columns from the source file.

How files are processed

We use your file only to provide the translation service: reading the file, translating labels and supported data values, generating previews, and preparing downloads. Text needed for translation may be sent to translation providers as part of that process.

Storage and deletion

Download files are intended to remain available for up to 7 days after processing. After that, files may be removed automatically. You can also request deletion by contacting support.

What we do not do

• We do not sell uploaded datasets.
• We do not publish uploaded datasets.
• We do not use uploaded datasets for advertising.
